I’m an LA-based freelance reporter, podcast producer, editor and writer.

I co-developed and executive produced a podcast called, A CRISPR Bite - a show about how gene-editing technology is changing our food.

As a reporter, I’m best known for my dogged reporting approach. I love digging up historical documents, and I once spent days filtering through microfilm for an NPR investigation into racially restrictive covenants.

I also spent a year and a half breaking news while unraveling the problematic intentions behind a plan to privatize the St. Louis airport. During the pandemic, I brought attention to a toxic work environment and a Missouri agency that went after residents to recoup millions in mistakenly paid out unemployment money.

My work has appeared on NPR programs Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Here & Now, as well as Marketplace, Fast Company, The Chronicle of Higher Education, U.S. News & World Report and Industry Dive.
